The cartoon shows former Prime minister Norman Kirk as the referee in a rugby match. He has just ordered a Springbok player off the field. An All Black player is arguing the case. Two people, representing anti-tour disruption, are looking very menacing and look prepared for violence had the game continued. In the background a man representing the Commonwealth games is jumping for joy. In the foreground a man representing the N.Z.R.F.U. and a man representing New Zealand look unhappy. Refers to the Prime minister Norman Kirk's decision to cancel the 1973 Springbok tour.
