Reference Number: B-134-052
The cartoon shows Jack Marshall as a rugby player representing the Federation of Labour, kicking a rugby ball, which is dressed as an All Black and has a label reading, no tour to S. Africa. The kick is aimed at the back of Keith Holyoake who is reading a paper marked, politics in their place. Refers to possible New Zealand rugby tours to South Africa being decided by politics rather than the game.
