Diary and notebook with details of the East Coast military campaign against Pai Marire followers. Diary entries cover January and May only, and finish with a large meeting at Wairoa at which various parties gave their oaths of allegiance. Among the notes are lists of Maori who had been injured in the fighting against the Pai Marire.
