A notebook containing draft letters and other notes relating to land and dealings with Maori at Mokau. The first letter draft is dated 19 January 1845, and the remainder are copies of letters in English and Maori from late January 1846, dealing particularly with problems associated with a tapu placed on the road through Mokau. There is also a list of Mokau chiefs.
