Friend, McLean,

Greetings. We have great affection for you. Our right over Kaupokonui still stands. Te Ropiha, Te Reweti and my right will be forever, and even after we die, our right over Kaupokonui will not end. And should someone put out a word for Kaupokonui, it would not be right. Te Ropiha

If you come by sea, all right, but if you come by land, when you reach Waiheke, come straight on to us, don't [get waylaid by] a committee at Waiheke. That's all.
