Sir, McLean,

Greetings to you. I've a message for you to hear. I give over to you my father, the land for you. McLean, Te Rere is the boundary which is retained out to the source of the Mangakara. Te Rangoiti and throughout[?] the area, you should pay for this land, that is, soonest. Pay for Te Rangonui and out to Poti and Tamaiti, pay for that. Pay for Te Tuatara; this is a large area of land, the boundary is from Hangutu, at Tikitaitene's boundary, and continuing on to the source of the Mangakara. This is our consideration for you. That is all, the end of it.
