Tena ra ko koe. Ka nui toku aroha ki a koe. E hoa, kua tae taku pukapuka ki nga Pakeha o Kapiti. Kua whakakahoretia te homai pukapuka mo matou e Te Porana, e Te Tera.

Greetings to you there. I have great affection for you. Friend, my letter has reached the Pakeha of Kapiti. Bolland and Taylor have refused us a letter.
