To Port Nicholson, to McLean and Governor Grey

Friends,

Greetings to you both. Friend, we saw the text of your letter and it is just fine. This is what I have for you and that is the area at Rangitumau and right out to Te Pipiriki, and as far as Puketoi, Rangitahuahua, Taumata-o-Te Watuiapiti, Manawa, Taueru - these boundaries are fixed. Friends, I say to you, make the surveyor come here quickly, right now. Quickly.

From me, from your good friend,
Iraia
