Go off, my letter, to Port Nicholson or Rangitikei or wherever, in search of McLean and Te Haurangi

Greetings to you and your children. Friend, McLean, greetings to you. I have great affection for you, that is, for you and your young ones. Sirs, greetings to you and your Pakeha on the road.

Friend, McLean, I've this request of you. If it is true that you have a saddle for me, like Perihe has, then do bring it to me, and a bridle also for me, of good quality and strong. That's all from me.
