Notebook, 1845-1846

Reference Number: MS-1203. Object #1031179

This volume is marked 'cancelled' on the cover and includes rough diary entries for April 1845, which are included in more detail in MS-1197. The remainder of the volume contains a preliminary draft of a letter of 28 January 1846 describing his October-November 1845 visit to Wanganui, Rotorua and Waikato and an undated memo describing his negotiations with and observations with Taranaki Maori about land.
