Friend, McLean,

Greetings. My message to you is that I am ill, hence my delay, but soon I will come to see you. Here is Te Maero with my gun. Do give it to the blacksmith to fix, so it is good for me to shoot birds. And also please give me some powder, and some shot. That's all.
