The man standing at the doorway maybe Ihaia Puketapu from Te Ati Awa ki Waiwhetu, Lower Hutt; the woman seated at the far right is Haua Tuhera Baker (Ngati Raukawa, Ngati Toa, Te Ati Awa), a first cousin of the deceased and graddaughter of Wi Parata e kakakura.
