My dear McLean,

I hope you will send down the St. Kilda at once. We cannot afford to miss another mail without writing about the particulars of the submarine telegraph for the straits and the Engineer is waiting her arrival here doing nothing -- we have been counting on her return pray send her at once.

The Assembly is to meet on the 15th. July (the Proclamation has been delayed by the Governors absence. Will you be so good as to get the papers to state that it is to be called for the 18th. July positively. Thank Ormond for his long and very interesting letter Mail closing

Yrs ever
Fred. A. Weld.
