Captain Deck.

You will proceed to the Wairoa this evening.

Mr. Hamlin with a party of Natives, whale boat, and other articles have to be landed.

Afterwards you will proceed direct to Poverty Bay.

The Revd. S. Williams and the West Coast Chiefs are expected to come back with you.

If the weather permits you will call at the Wairoa on your return to pick up Mr. Hamlin and party and give the West Coast Chiefs an opportunity of landing for a day at the Wairoa.
