I have received from Mr. McLean, on this day, on the second (2) of the days of November in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight hundred and fifty-five (1855) the sum of One Hundred Pounds £100.0.0 sterling; as payment for all my lands at Ngamotu; the boundary commences at Herekawe; the boundary upwards is Paretutu, also Tukuperu, Pouakai, Tahuna a te tawa; and outwards to Pukaramu, Umuutekai, Hikurangi, Puketotara, Turangarua, Te Keteiwi, te Rewarewa, Pukahu, Opokino, Waiwakaio. We give up all these lands to Victoria the Queen of England, on this day on which the sun now shines, and for ever.
