My dear Maclean

I understand that you told Mr. T. H. Smith that there was an early deed of cession of Waitotara Block in which the first instalmt. of purchase money is acknowledged and several names occur which are not in the second. Can you give any clue to its whereabouts?, It cannot be found here among our records and it may be of value in reference to claims at Whanganui.

Yours faithfully
J. C. Richmond
