My Dear Sir,

A Statement has been made to Members of the Committee by William Marsh to the effect that he has been prevented from going to the Waikato to obtain the attendance before the Committee of William Thompson by the Government. Will you be so good as to attend the Committee this afternoon and explain the circumstance.
