There is very little news since my last - As far as I can learn Mr. Buchanan will come off badly in the Court of Enquiry - he keeps offending the officers - Major Lambert and the others walk off together but Buchanan marches alone - Karaitiana wrote me a note yesterday to know when a steamer was going to Poverty Bay, as he and Henare wish

to go there I sent him word that the Sturt would go on Sunday or Monday. The Sturt leaves today with Mr. Richmond on board for here - The St. Kilda brought Capn. Spiller up to take command at Wairoa - We have had a good nights rain - it will do any amount of good - Mr. Carr has been recommended for the Meanee School -
