15. 9. 73

My Dear McLean,

The enclosed note confirming the suspicion that I mentioned that I had been imposed upon by Dr. Goold. I much regret that I recommended him, and try now to recommend that his appointments of Medical attendant to the Natives and Coroner be both forthwith cancelled. He has I understand left the district and is hanging about some public House in Wellington.

Yours very faithfully,
Wm. Fox
