My dear Maclean

The Govr. has agreed to the Hawkes Bay Confiscation I find it absolutely impossible to draft the schedule to the O. in Council properly without your help. Please return, to the rescue unless you are satisfied with my description enclosed. It would be better if reliable natural boundaries could be given, but we are quite sure of a substantial piece of land taking straight lines, with known bearings.

Yours truly
J. C. Richmond

P. S. I want the Order finished by 9 o'clock tonight for Executive Council.
