I should feel obliged if Grindell and I think some one else but I dont know yet could be told in some way not to tell Natives going from this district that I have nothing to do with the purchases here that I am only there to survey and anything else I may do is wrong, that connected with the dishonouring the order has done me much injury here, If Mr. Grindell wishes also to write letters to natives here hinting that he is the man I trust he will do so with caution for the Native know what he is driving at and laugh at it, I have been told that the Natives here wrote about some of these offers of sales for the paper -

I remain, Dear Sir Your Ot. St.
