My dear McLean,

If this catches you before you leave I shall be much obliged if you will kindly try and get from Sir George Grey a Deed I sent him last Novr, to sign and return - I have written repeatedly to Sir George for it and can get no reply and it is the subject of continual worry and inconvenience - It is a mere formal matter on Sir George Grey's part and is

connected with a Mortgage he formerly held over my Wellington property - which I paid off last March or April - twelve months ago - For some Lawyer's reason it appears Sir G. Grey has to be a party to the Deed I sent him, to free the Title, because he was not here when the Mortgage was paid off -

I know you will get this for me if possible and I feel sure also Sir George would not wish to cause me trouble and inconvenience -

Yours sincerely,
J.D. Ormond.
