My dear Sir,

I have the pleasure to forward to you an extract from a despatch which I have received from his Grace the Duke of Newcastle in which he acknowledges the valuable services you have rendered to this Colony.

I rejoice in the opportunity thus afforded me to convey to you my own sincere thanks for your invaluable services to the Govt. of this Colony and the able assistance you have afforded me on all occasions.
