English (ATL)

The natives of the Rimarapa offer to sell a Block of land there to the Government for £500, as they do not require it all for their own wants.

Himona te Hori

Tamati Takarangi.

Te Puhi

Te Arei.

I do not know the extent of the land, but it may be worth enquiring into.

The Wellington map and Reserves should be first consulted, the land examined by a surveyor, and its capabilities reported on, before deciding with the natives, should the Governor-in-Chief approve such a purchase being made.

Donald McLean.
