My dear Whitaker,

I send you a letter which appears to me to contain matters worthy of their consideration by the Government. It relates to a new route between Hawkes Bay and Auckland

I know the writer and I think you may place confidence in his statements.

If you should avail yourself of his Information will you do what you can to putting him in the way of employment in connection with any work you may undertake.
