As the Northern boundary of Hawkes Bay will have be ascertained on the ground, I would be glad if you interest yourself to get my name put on the Commission. In the case of the boundary between Nelson and Canterbury a

Commissioner were appointed to determine it.

The Governts intend with the consent of the natives at the Chathams to nominate one Surveyor for the entire work of survey this is the only reply I have been able to obtain.
