Alexandra

15 March 1871.

Dear Mr. McLean,

I sent to Wi Pukapuka (as I informed you by Telegram) in answer he says that he is raruraru with the mahi a Rewi so that he can not attem to that which I requested, I have therefore sent Alic Thompson to try and do the matter.

When you can let me come to Auckland, I have some thing to do for myself which if I do not attend to myself I shall lose some money as it was a little work I had to finish when I joined the Government also I am out of things as I did not bring up with me more than for six weeks and now it is nine weeks since I came up

Yours etc.
John White.
