My dear McLean,

Baker tells me copies of all the Minutes relating to Buller's appointment are sent you with the Official. I have had this copied again in case of oversight. The salary, £200, was named by Richmond, after correspondence with the Government on the subject. My minutes merely recommend an ----- previously decided on.
