Sir,

I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of yesterday stating that the Natives had come to a determination that you and other settlers including Mr. Snachernberg the resident missionary should remove from Kawhia.

I have to request that you will on receipt of this communication inform the European inhabitants of Kawhia that if they are prepared to abandon the place a vessel will besent by the Govt. to teke them off and I have to request that you will inform me of their decision without delay that arrangements may be made for their removal either to Raglan or to Auckland.
